About Me: Greetings, My Nome de Plume is Doctor Raven and I’m a struggling writer for Goth and Industrial Magazines and an explorer and supporter of the Goth Community et al. Currently I'm working on an adventure in Zine and Magazine writing and attempting to network with bands across the country to promote the community that has allowed me a place to call home. Racial Stereotyping...

As most people know, I work a sideline job writing music reviews for Goth and Industrial magazines. One of which happens to be Fangoria Musick, the music arm of the longstanding Horror Movie magazine. How to accept the "Unloveable", an Introduction and primer.

Recently, I took a trip yet again to my local Christian bookstore. An act I do at least once a week to check out new "Alternative" music releases in the Christian music field with the one hope of finding a decent Goth, Goth Metal, Industrial or Electronic Release. This time, no such luck. A large supply of Emo acts, some nostalgic Grunge acts, and a host of poppy folk rock bits complete with awkward standing musicians in natural settings. Clearly, this was going to be a wash.
